Staying Positive

Things that have gone right lately. My attempt to be a more optimistic person.

I will post every day, at the end of the day (or the next morning), about the good things that have happened to me in that day. The hope is that I will begin to be generally happier and more positive, rather than focusing on the negative as I tend to do.

If you would like to join me, e-mail me or leave a comment on one of my posts and we can talk about adding you as a poster here. I think that it would be really cool if this were to become a multi-person endeavor, if others are interested in helping to make it one.

November 4, 2006

Music: Barenaked Ladies Maroon
Reading: Shakespeare Titus Andronicus, Ovid Metamorphoses
Current stress level (scale of 1-10): 4
Quote: "When a stupid man is doing something he is ashamed of, he always declares that it is his duty." – George Bernard Shaw

Good things that happened today:
1. Good breakfast.
2. Fencing practice went pretty well. People went along with a couple of exercises I made them do, and seemed to get really into the potentially corniest of them (pick a teammate who's done something really great over the past week and congratulate them in front of everyone else) by the end of it, which was really exciting. I'm pumped. I really think that we can pull together. Here's hoping that we do. God knows I'll be trying as hard as I can to make sure that it happens.
3. Got a fair amount of work done.
