Staying Positive

Things that have gone right lately. My attempt to be a more optimistic person.

I will post every day, at the end of the day (or the next morning), about the good things that have happened to me in that day. The hope is that I will begin to be generally happier and more positive, rather than focusing on the negative as I tend to do.

Good things that happened today:
1. Sort of started preliminary research for my research paper.
2. Walking home after class, was suddenly filled with this swelling sense of joy and capability. The day was great; I felt accomplished, and like I could accomplish -- like I could do anything -- like all I had to do was reach out my hand and pluck off an opportunity and it would be mine. I wasn't stressed about my big research paper; I felt like I could handle it. I wasn't stressed about anything. I just felt good, and able.
3. Woke up next to Jason.
4. Filled out my application to work in the library over the summer!
