Staying Positive

Things that have gone right lately. My attempt to be a more optimistic person.

I will post every day, at the end of the day (or the next morning), about the good things that have happened to me in that day. The hope is that I will begin to be generally happier and more positive, rather than focusing on the negative as I tend to do.

If you would like to join me, e-mail me or leave a comment on one of my posts and we can talk about adding you as a poster here. I think that it would be really cool if this were to become a multi-person endeavor, if others are interested in helping to make it one.

September 15, 2006

Music: Madonna Bedtime Stories
Reading: various Shelley
Current stress level (scale of 1-10): 5
Quote: "As my eyes search the prairie / I feel the summer in the spring." – Chippewa spring song

Good things that happened today:
1. Went fencing.
2. Ate cake and ice cream at fencing.
3. Took a practice GRE. Was minorly freaking because some of the verbal stuff was throwing me... I wasn't very clear on vocab definitions, and am now really nervous about analogies... and then I got 800 verbal/780 quantitative. So... little to be really worried about, apparently. ;) *knocks on wood*
4. Did a little bit more for my writing sample.
5. Finished the Gandhi autobiography.
6. Got a haircut. (Haircuts are the equivalent of slinky black little dresses for making me feel sexy and attractive. ;) )
