Staying Positive

Things that have gone right lately. My attempt to be a more optimistic person.

I will post every day, at the end of the day (or the next morning), about the good things that have happened to me in that day. The hope is that I will begin to be generally happier and more positive, rather than focusing on the negative as I tend to do.

If you would like to join me, e-mail me or leave a comment on one of my posts and we can talk about adding you as a poster here. I think that it would be really cool if this were to become a multi-person endeavor, if others are interested in helping to make it one.

October 8, 2006

Music: Goo Goo Dolls dizzy up the girl
Reading: Crossan Who Killed Jesus?
Current stress level (scale of 1-10): 4
Quote: "I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it." – Thomas Jefferson

Good things that happened today:
1. OMFG I FINISHED* MY FIRST ARMWARMER YAAAAAAAY!
2. Slept in (skipped weights -- and it was a good thing because I think the sleep made me feel well enough to go in to practice tomorrow).
3. Democrats took back the legislature.
4. Rumsfeld is out.
5. I FINISHED the damn Crossan. Fairly interesting, but not when you have to speed through it because you've got tons of other reading.
6. Got to see Jonathan Rhys Meyers in a bra and panties, as well as some JRM bum (we watched an excerpt from Titus in class). Woot woot.

*Okay, I still have to weave in the ends. But the thing is OFF THE NEEDLES. That counts. ;)
