Staying Positive

Things that have gone right lately. My attempt to be a more optimistic person.

I will post every day, at the end of the day (or the next morning), about the good things that have happened to me in that day. The hope is that I will begin to be generally happier and more positive, rather than focusing on the negative as I tend to do.

If you would like to join me, e-mail me or leave a comment on one of my posts and we can talk about adding you as a poster here. I think that it would be really cool if this were to become a multi-person endeavor, if others are interested in helping to make it one.

2. Went to fencing. I didn't do so well, but it was really nice to be back at my old club and see everyone again.
3. Hung out with Dara.
4. Had an opthamologist appointment and was told that my eyes haven't changed much.

Good things that happened today:
1. Hung out with Julie and Gina.
2. Made plans with Dara for tomorrow.
3. Ate those yummy letter cake decorations that are basically sugar and nothing else.
4. Went for a walk with Dad and the dog.

Other things to be happy about:
1. I was able to see the dog now. He's definitely deteriorating. He might still be here at Christmas, but I'm thinking that there's a chance he might not be. Poor old puppy.
2. Tea!

Current stress level (scale of 1-10): 4

Good things that happened today and yesterday:
1. Flew home.
2. SAW MY DOGGY! :)
3. Started the actual gauntlets that I'm going to be knitting. Double-pointed needles are way fiddly, and I think that part of the first rows is going to look crappy... I don't want to rip back, though. Here's hoping it's fixable during the finishing stage. ;)
4. Went food shopping.
5. Ate crackers and cheese.
6. Petted my doggy.
7. Got a great phone call from Jason this evening about how his meeting with a professor went fantastically. Yaay!
8. Made plans to see friends tomorrow.
9. Started to get progress made on getting a refund from the people with whom I was supposed to store my stuff.
10. Ate dark chocolate.
11. Had tea!
12. Petted my doggy MORE.

Other things to be happy about:
1. Loving family.
2. Dogs.
3. Boyfriends.
4. Tea.
5. Friends.

Good things that happened today:
1. Jason and his mom were totally awesome and let me store my stuff at their house after the storage people flaked out. (I am SO getting a refund.)
2. Barbecue at Jason's uncle's. It was pretty mellow, except for his hyper eight-year-old cousin, which was nice.
3. The knitting LJ community told me that my differing row gauges for my two swatches for the gauntlets shouldn't be a huge problem.
4. Sex. Specific new type of sex, but I'm not going into further details here... check that other blog of mine (those of you who know about it) and there may be something up there in the next few days. (Maybe not... I've been lazy with that one recently.) ;)
5. Went for ice cream after the storage debacle. It was Coldstone's, and I got coffee with Reese's peanut butter cups, which was surprisingly good.

Other things to be happy about:
1. Tea!
2. Chocolate!

Good things that happened today:
1. Got my whole room packed up!
2. Chinese takeout for dinner.
3. Watched "I Heart Hucklebees" and "The 40 Year Old Virgin." Both fun, although the former was much better than the latter.
4. Finished my second swatch for my next knitting project.
5. Saw PUPPIES!
6. Had oatmeal for breakfast.
7. Hot sex this morning (how could I forget that?).
