Staying Positive

Things that have gone right lately. My attempt to be a more optimistic person.

I will post every day, at the end of the day (or the next morning), about the good things that have happened to me in that day. The hope is that I will begin to be generally happier and more positive, rather than focusing on the negative as I tend to do.

1. Saw Suddenly Last Summer (in play form). Quite liked it.
2. Good day at work.
3. It's Towel Day!
4. Hot sex.

Good things that happened today:
1. Had a sombrero (my favorite drink) -- with one of my teachers! He invited the class to the faculty club for drinks, and I was there before anyone else, so we got to talk alone for quite a while. It was kind of nerve-wracking, but also cool.
2. Saw Jason for dinner.
3. Made an intelligent comment in previously mentioned teacher's class today.
4. Did some brainstorming for my Sidney paper and am moderately pleased with the results.
5. Had a very fruitful meeting with someone at the career center re: finding a library-sciences mentor for me.

1. Lunch with Jason.
2. Tennis. I had a REALLY good rally!
3. Hung out on Rinkworks.
4. Mommy sent me cookies!

Good things that happened today:
1. Saw Jason at lunch.
2. Chorus.
3. Made a good comment in class.
4. Bought plane tickets home for a week in July. (Mind, the experience of buying them was not at all fun (it took like TWO HOURS!) -- but the having of them -- that is a wonderful thing.)
5. Ice cream sundae!

Good things that happened today:
1. Sort of started preliminary research for my research paper.
2. Walking home after class, was suddenly filled with this swelling sense of joy and capability. The day was great; I felt accomplished, and like I could accomplish -- like I could do anything -- like all I had to do was reach out my hand and pluck off an opportunity and it would be mine. I wasn't stressed about my big research paper; I felt like I could handle it. I wasn't stressed about anything. I just felt good, and able.
3. Woke up next to Jason.
4. Filled out my application to work in the library over the summer!
