Staying Positive

Things that have gone right lately. My attempt to be a more optimistic person.

I will post every day, at the end of the day (or the next morning), about the good things that have happened to me in that day. The hope is that I will begin to be generally happier and more positive, rather than focusing on the negative as I tend to do.

1. Slept in.
2. Did some okay stuff at fencing.
3. Cookies!

1. The crunch of fallen leaves under one's feet.

Good things that happened today:
1. Did a fencing demo at a local middle school. I really like doing demos. They're fun!
2. As thanks for said demo, my coaches gave me cookies and wine.
3. Ate one of the cookies my mommy sent to me. It was good!
4. Evening hanging out with teh boyfriend.

1. Finished a chunk of knitting! :)
2. Was fairly productive.
3. My mommy told me to check my mailbox tomorrow... *g*
4. Weights was not horrendous.
5. Bought tickets home for winter break!

1. Quite enjoyed my reading.
2. Lunch with Jason.
3. Leadership workshop. Kinda intimidating, but I feel empowered! ;)
4. Practice was sort of moderately fun.

Good things that happened today:
1. Finished a couple of chunks of stuff at work.
2. Knitting! I got 7 whole rows done. :)
3. Edited approx 600 words out of my paper (still need another 50ish gone, though...)
4. Started reading the Sinfest archives. Am highly amused. OMG the strips with the kitty and puppy! He captures doggy joy SO PERFECTLY...
5. Dickens reading group. Puppy, kitty, tea, friends, Dickens, discussion... woot.

Good things that happened today:
1. OMFG PAPER DRAFT IS WRITTEN IT IS 2:45 AM BUT I AM SO HAPPY!!!!!
2. Am going to bed. Now. Bed bed bed.
3. Tea with breakfast.
4. Knitting group met for the first time. One girl forgot and another had to leave really soon, so it was just me and one other guy, but it was kinda cool because he came to learn so I got to teach him to knit and play with my new(ish) Clover bamboo needles (which are okay but a little blunt)... and this is all on my knitting blog so I'm going to stop talking about it now.
5. Walking to dinner, it was cold and almost had that New England fall crispness in the air that I miss so much.
6. Ice cream sundae for dinner.
7. Root beer jelly beans.
8. Lots and lots of cuddles. :)
