Staying Positive

Things that have gone right lately. My attempt to be a more optimistic person.

I will post every day, at the end of the day (or the next morning), about the good things that have happened to me in that day. The hope is that I will begin to be generally happier and more positive, rather than focusing on the negative as I tend to do.

If you would like to join me, e-mail me or leave a comment on one of my posts and we can talk about adding you as a poster here. I think that it would be really cool if this were to become a multi-person endeavor, if others are interested in helping to make it one.

3. Gave a tea party with Dara! It was fun! And I got to bake yummy scones, and there were excellent strawberries and whipped cream, and apricot tea, and my mom and grandma came and really enjoyed themselves, which was great.

Music: radio, Dad's classical
Reading: the prose poetry book
Current stress level (scale of 1-10): 2

(No update yesterday because I FLEW HOME! and got in late; there won't be an update tomorrow, and possibly the day after, because I am off to Nantucket with my family for two days.)

Good things that happened today:
1. Mom's lab party was held at someone else's house today because ours is getting new siding. And there was a PUPPY! He was soooo cute and sweet, but unfortunately very timid (he was a shelter dog). But I was one of the few people he let pet him a little bit! Probably because I fed him all that jerky...
2. Read in bed in the morning before getting up.
3. Laughed very hard at a couple of truly ridiculous fight scenes in The Musketeer, which was on TV.
4. Tea!
