Staying Positive

Things that have gone right lately. My attempt to be a more optimistic person.

I will post every day, at the end of the day (or the next morning), about the good things that have happened to me in that day. The hope is that I will begin to be generally happier and more positive, rather than focusing on the negative as I tend to do.

Good things that happened today:
1. Wrote a bit.
2. Decorated my gingerbread house.
3. Visited a (new to me) yarn store and bought yarn! (My next project is all lined up now. :) )
4. Knitted almost two repeats of the scarf I'm working on.
5. Hung out with Kayo and watched The Lady in the Water. It was a decent movie, actually. I was kind of surprised.

1. Hung out with Dara and Kate.
2. Made good soup with Dara and Kate (search for Gipsy (Gypsy?) soup on allrecipes.com and you'll see what I mean).
3. Fencing started out crappily (and I didn't even really want to be there), but then turned into a fabulous night.
4. Made plans to visit yarn stores tomorrow!

1. Talked to Jason.
2. Constructed my gingerbread house! Mebbe I'll get the chance to decorate tomorrow...
3. Happy presents! Goo Goo Dolls CDs and DVD, a book I wanted (see Cordelle above ;) ), jewelry, and BAZILLIONS of funky socks!
4. Got a lot of knitting done while watching football.
5. Petted my doggy.

2. Weights went pretty well.
3. Read some good fic.
4. The Patriots won! It was a close and exciting game.
5. EXCELLENT lamb chops with mustard sauce for dinner. Also wheat, which I miss when I'm not at home.

1. FORMATTED and POSTED "SECOND CHANCES!"
2. Ice cream and a long chat with Dara.
3. Baked the gingerbread for my gingerbread house (not a fun experience in and of itself, per se... but it's good to have it done).
